Founder and Creator of The Real Estate Investing Experience, Asset Manager at Toro Real Estate Partners
Chris started his real estate investing journey in Jan of 2016 by trying to flip houses on Long Island NY, but ultimately failed to flip a single house despite spending thousands of dollars and several months trying. Through networking, Chris and his team tried pivoting to purchasing tax deed properties in Philadelphia, but quickly realized it wasn't for them. From there Chris met John Cohen and started to learn about multifamily and started by investing passively in an 8 unit, then Joint Venturing on another 100 units syndicated across 4 properties worth over $4.5 mil. From there Chris quit his full-time job in finance and joined the Toro team full time as an asset manager in Aug 2016.
Chris focuses on managing, sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring new assets for Toro’s Multifamily Portfolio and is the primary person running the Florida region of Toro's portfolio which currently consists of 752 units and almost $50 mil in AUM and has contributed to over 2900 units acquired worth over $175 mil. He also contributes substantially to capital raising, negotiating joint ventures, financings, investor relations, marketing, and dispositions.
Before joining Toro Real Estate Partners, Chris worked in finance at small boutique firm in Rockville Centre, NY. Chris graduated Hofstra University where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Management, and played Division 1 soccer for 4 years on scholarship.
